Emerging Technology for a Greener Future
MSIP is central to Scotland’s net-zero goals, emphasising climate action and collaboration among industry, academia, government, and the community. The Parc offers businesses production units powered by low-carbon energy and Innovation Labs with flexible workshops, shared amenities, and collaborative spaces to eliminate growth barriers.
The Innovation Challenge has funded 13 companies to develop 14 net-zero projects.
Success So Far
MSIP hosts 12 tenants, creating 123 jobs and impacting the local supply chain. These tenants are developing leading technologies in solar power, hydrogen, lithium-ion batteries, and EV charging infrastructure. The MSIP Accelerator Programme has supported 31 startups, leading to £1.47 million in innovation funding, £1.1 million in equity investment, and over £2 million in product orders in the past year. The Innovation Challenge has funded 13 companies to develop 14 net-zero projects.
Scotland is leading the way in ambition to net zero, and MSIP's location within Scotland is attractive for investment, as a key location to do business and collaborate.
Collaboration is Key
MSIP facilitates product and technology development through its extensive network, offering investment identification, R&D opportunities, and collaboration. Active partnerships with universities, companies, investors, and industry bodies make MSIP a collaborative hub. Community partnerships with Eden Project, V&A Dundee, and third-sector organizations underscore MSIP's community role.

Investing in the Next Generation
The Skills Academy at MSIP, in partnership with Dundee and Angus College, is a national centre for skills development in renewable energy, sustainable mobility, and decarbonisation. It aims to inspire and prepare the current and future workforce for Scotland's green recovery and transition to net zero. MSIP connects businesses with free recruitment support through its network and offers a STEM engagement programme, reaching over 2,000 young learners in 2022/23.
Future Prospects
The Innovation Hub, opening in November 2023, will feature hot desks, meeting and event spaces, design labs, a digital suite, demonstration space, and business support services. Several more companies are expected to join MSIP in the next 12 months. Cohort 4 of the MSIP Accelerator Programme starts in August 2023, and the Innovation Labs are ready to welcome their first users. The Skills Academy will launch in Autumn 2023.
